This study presents a systematic analysis of SLIPS (slippery liquid-infused porous surfaces) as a versatile strategy for mitigating rapid contamination relevant to protective films and coatings. Contaminants are classified into key groups, and a literature screening based on keyword co-occurrence (ScienceDirect) is used to evaluate research trends. The results show a growing number of publications, with a strong focus on liquid repellency, corrosion resistance, and antifouling. However, particle contamination and mixed scenarios remain underexplored. The lack of systematic studies across liquids with controlled properties further highlights existing research gaps.
